Hull & Deck Riggers play a critical role in bringing our boats to life by installing, assembling, and testing the systems and components that make every Sea Fox boat safe, reliable, and ready for the water.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Install and assemble mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and marine components during boat construction.
- Rig hulls and decks with precision to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
- Install steering systems, controls, pumps, batteries, wiring harnesses, fuel systems, and other marine components.
- Route, secure, and connect electrical wiring and plumbing systems.
- Install hardware, accessories, and equipment according to production specifications.
- Perform inspections and functional testing to ensure all systems operate properly.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and make necessary corrections.
- Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and build specifications.
- Maintain accurate installation standards while meeting production goals.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns, missing materials, or production issues to leadership.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in marine manufacturing or boat rigging.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Basic understanding of 12-volt electrical systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the day.
- Ability to work inside and around boat hulls and decks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with fiberglass materials, noise, dust, and changing temperatures (this is not an air-conditioned/heated facility).
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as production schedules require.
