Position Summary
The Industrial Sewer / Seamstress is responsible for creating, repairing, and assembling high-quality marine cushions and upholstery for our boats. This includes measuring, cutting, sewing, and finishing vinyl, leather, and foam components to meet Sea Fox’s exacting standards of comfort, durability, and appearance.
What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate industrial sewing machines (change threads, bobbins, and needles as needed)
  • Perform single-needle sewing, prepping, and joining operations
  • Create, trace, and cut patterns with precision
  • Inspect completed cushions and upholstery for defects, damage, or inconsistencies
  • Fabricate, repair, and replace marine upholstery components
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Perform additional upholstery and fabrication duties as assigned
What You Bring
  • 1+ years of industrial or home sewing experience (must pass sewing test)
  • Ability to make and read patterns
  • Skilled in working with leather, vinyl, and foam rubber
  • Knowledge of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience sewing vinyl or leather in a fast-paced production environment
  • Prototyping experience a strong plus
