Fiberglass Stringer Installer / Laminator

Position Summary
Sea Fox Boat Company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fiberglass Stringer Installer / Laminator to join our production team. This role is responsible for installing and laminating fiberglass stringer systems within boat hulls to ensure structural strength and integrity. The ideal candidate has experience working with fiberglass materials and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install fiberglass stringer systems inside boat hulls according to build specifications

  • Measure, fit, and accurately position stringers within hull molds

  • Apply fiberglass, resin, mat, and reinforcement materials to properly secure and laminate stringers

  • Roll out air pockets and ensure proper saturation and bonding of materials

  • Grind and prepare surfaces prior to installation to ensure strong adhesion

  • Inspect completed work to verify structural quality and consistency

  • Collaborate with hull lamination and production teams to maintain workflow

  • Maintain and properly use tools and equipment related to fiberglass work

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE when handling fiberglass materials

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with fiberglass lamination, resin application, or composite materials preferred

  • Ability to read and follow basic build instructions and measurements

  • Familiarity with fiberglass tools such as rollers, grinders, and cutting tools

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more

  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in a manufacturing environment

  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to meet production goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marine manufacturing or fiberglass boat construction

  • Familiarity with stringer systems, structural lamination, and hull assembly

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting involving fiberglass materials, resins, and industrial tools

  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working inside confined hull spaces
