Sea Fox Boat Company is an industry leading, saltwater fishing boat manufacturer who is looking for a talented Facilities Maintenance technician.
Sea Fox Boats is looking for a Hard Top De-molder and capper that will be responsible for creating hard tops for our premium saltwater boats.
Job Summary:
The Hard Top De-Molder and Capper is responsible for safely removing (de-molding) fiberglass hard tops from molds, trimming and preparing them for assembly, and performing the capping process to ensure a high-quality finished product. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to company safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely separate and remove hard tops from molds without damaging the part or mold.
- Trim, grind, and clean parts as needed to prepare for capping or assembly.
- Perform capping operations, including aligning, bonding, and securing parts according to specifications.
- Inspect parts for defects, voids, or imperfections and make necessary repairs or notify supervision.
- Apply gelcoat or bonding materials when required for capping or finishing.
- Maintain molds, tools, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
- Assist with preparation of molds (waxing, taping, or applying release agents) as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe handling of resins and chemicals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and part quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in fiberglass lamination, molding, or finishing in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools, grinders, sanders, and other finishing equipment.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Reliable attendance and teamwork are essential.
- Able to pass forklift certification
- Manufacturing and lamination area with exposure to fiberglass, resins, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.
- Non-climate controlled environment
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
- PPE such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and protective clothing required.
