Position Summary
The Warehouse Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through routine cycle counts, inventory audits, discrepancy investigations, and inventory control activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, components, hardware, and finished goods.
- Verify physical inventory against ERP/WMS system records.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes of variances.
- Process inventory adjustments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct location audits to ensure materials are stored in correct warehouse locations.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in achieving company inventory accuracy goals.
- Work closely with Receiving, Shipping, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Assist with month-end, year-end, and physical inventory counts.
- Verify proper labeling, identification, and storage of inventory throughout the facility.
- Identify process improvements to reduce inventory errors and improve warehouse efficiency.
- Utilize handheld scanners, inventory software, and ERP systems to record inventory transactions.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, inventory control, and cycle counting experience required.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, or Warehouse Management Systems needed.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures of extreme heat in summer and cold in winter (NOT climate controlled).
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
